US Forest Service Law Enforcement Chief tours Ski Championships

The 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships has been in the planning stages since 2011.  Cooperation from many public and private partners has ensured the event’s successful launch. The US Forest Service National Director of Law Enforcement David Ferrell took time to visit with Vail Police Chief Dwight Henninger today about the steps being taken to ensure a safe event for all who attend.

Officers from the US Forest Service are assisting in filling multiple law enforcement roles throughout the event. The assistance of neighboring local, state and national law enforcement agencies allows the community’s needs to be met with the same great service they've come to expect. Chief Henninger expressed his thanks on behalf of the Vail Valley community to all US Forest Service law enforcement personnel for their service at the 2015 FIS AWSC.
