Map of Incident Area

March 14, 2019 - 11:25 p.m. - Crews continue to work on repairs to the gas leak on the Edwards Spur Road. An evacuation order remains in place for Old Edwards Estates, and a shelter has been established at the Edwards Interfaith Chapel.

Please note that odors evident in neighborhoods to the east of the incident, including Miller Ranch, are due to mercaptan - the odorant used to help detect natural gas - traveling further than the gas itself. Eagle River Fire Protection District is conducting constant air monitoring and no gas levels have been recorded east of the Spur Road.

All residents are encouraged to subscribe to EC Alert at www.ecalert.org to receive real time emergency information.
Vail Health offers transportation to any evacuees needing assistance.

Volunteers from the Salvation Army help set up an emergency shelter at the Edwards Interfaith Chapel.
