Governor Jared Polis Declares State of Emergency in Colorado

March 10, 2020 - Governor Jared Polis has declared a state of emergency to Colorado to help our state more effectively contain the spread of COVID-19 and avoid greater disruption. Similar to Eagle County's earlier declaration, this opens up opportunities for funding and resources.

Ultimately, success in fighting the spread of COVID-19 depends on individual responsibility. If you are sick, stay home, and wash your hands frequently. Individuals at high risk, such as the elderly or those with underlying health issues or chronic medical conditions, should exercise additional caution.

Please avoid overloading our local Emergency Departments by contacting the following local healthcare facilities or your primary care physician if you suspect you may have COVID-19. It is important that you call first so that a healthcare provider can assess your condition, provide guidance, and arrange for testing that limits exposure to others.
